ED MEDICINES WE CAN PRESCRIBE ONLINE

The four ED medicines vary a lot in price.

Our doctors are licensed in all the states where we operate and can write prescriptions for four ED medicines: Revatio, or so-called generic Viagra (Sildenafil), Viagra (Sildenafil), Cialis (Tadalafil), or Levitra (Vardenafil).

Revatio can cost as little as $3/treatment if you get discount coupons from GoodRx and select the right pharmacy. Without GoodRx coupons Revatio can cost $60/treatment.

See GoodRx for how much the different medicines cost at pharmacies in your area.

Insurance plans may cover a small number of ED pills but it’s not common and depends upon the specifics of your plan and your medical history.

ABOUT ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

ED affects 40% of men by age 40.

ED is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sex. It's stressful and affects at least 10% of men and as many as 40% of men by the age 40.

ED is most commonly caused by physical factors but can also be caused by psychological factors such as anxiety or depression. Sometimes ED is caused by a combination of physical and psychological factors.

ED can be the first sign of potentially more serious underlying heart or general health problems. That's why it's important to have a range of investigative tests to look for the cause even if you feel fine. As part of the doctor-service we provide, we can order these laboratory tests from Quest Diagnostics. Quest Diagnostics has thousands of patient service centers around the country.

Who We Can't Help

If any of the following apply, you should see a doctor in person because we won’t be able to write a prescription online.

  • Under 30
  • 73 or older
  • Have not had a physical exam by a doctor in the past 5 years which included a genital exam
  • Any condition where sex is not advised
  • Taking the medicine nitroglycerin or other medicines that contain nitrates
  • Don't know your blood pressure
  • Low blood pressure or unexplained fainting or dizziness
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • HIV
  • Physical abnormality of the penis, including Peyronie's disease
  • Heart disease, stroke, or other cardiovascular disease
  • You're a woman

Treatment & Risks

It’s important to understand the ED treatment we prescribe and the potential risks.

The 4 ED medicines we prescribe – Revatio (Sildenafil) or so called generic Viagra, Viagra (Sildenafil), Cialis (Tadalafil), or Levitra (Vardenafil) - are generally safe but shouldn’t be used as recreational drugs. They’re meant to treat a medical condition and can cause serious side effects including but not limited to an erection lasting more than four hours, sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, and sudden decrease or loss of hearing.

If you have low blood pressure, heart disease, take medicines for heart disease or for high blood pressure, you shouldn’t use our service. If you take the medicines we prescribe you'll be at greater risk of serious side effects such as severe dizziness, fainting, heart attack, and stroke. Read the package insert that comes with the medicine for a full list of side effects and warnings.

INVESTIGATE POTENTIAL UNDERLYING CAUSES

We can order investigative laboratory tests.

ED is often the first symptom of other health conditions, including cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Even if you feel healthy, you should consider getting some routine laboratory tests to see if another health condition is the cause of your ED.

Our doctors can order investigative labs in all the states we operate in apart from AZ, NY and RI. You don’t have to have your labs done but we strongly recommend it.

You’ll need to go to a Quest Diagnostics center to have these tests done. When we get the test results back, we can help you understand what they mean.

These tests are optional although we strongly recommend them. Getting these tests won’t delay your ED treatment. You’ll pay Quest Diagnostics separately for the tests.
