You will first complete a detailed intake process which allows us to gather information about your health history, health concerns, medications, and more. After completing the intake process, a Lemonaid Health affiliated healthcare provider will review and conduct a consultation to determine if a weight loss treatment is appropriate for you. If suitable, your provider will discuss medication options and recommend a personalized treatment plan. Typically, treatment begins with a lower dose to minimize side effects, gradually increasing over time until achieving a maintenance dosage. If a Lemonaid Health affiliated healthcare provider determines that weight loss treatment is appropriate for you, the provider will establish the appropriate dosing schedule for you.

As you increase your dosage you will have check-ins with a Lemonaid Health affiliated provider to discuss the appropriateness of a dosage change. Once you reach a maintenance dosage, you will have regular interval check-ins to discuss your treatment and the appropriateness of new prescriptions.

Yes, for some medications. If you choose an eligible branded medication, we can check your insurance coverage and help you navigate the process. If your medication is covered, you’ll pay your Lemonaid membership fee plus any copay or other costs required by your insurance plan.

Compounded medications are cash-pay only and are not billed to insurance, so you'll need to pay out of pocket. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan and medication. Lemonaid Health cannot accept insurance for membership fees.

Lemonaid offers several GLP-1 weight loss treatment options, including compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, Wegovy® and Zepbound®, as well as microdose options. Medication availability and eligibility vary, and a licensed medical provider will help determine which treatment may be appropriate for you.

Both are once-weekly injectable medications that can help regulate appetite and support weight loss. Semaglutide works on GLP-1 receptors, while tirzepatide works on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. Which option may be appropriate for you depends on factors such as your health history, treatment goals, and your provider’s medical judgment.

Eligibility depends on your individual health history, BMI, current medications, and other factors. You'll complete an online assessment and consultation with a licensed medical provider who will determine whether GLP-1 treatment is medically appropriate for you. In some cases, additional information or lab work may be required before a provider can determine eligibility.

Your care team is here to support you throughout treatment. If you experience side effects, contact your medical provider so they can review your symptoms and determine appropriate next steps, which may include changes to your treatment or dosage. GLP-1 medications can cause common gastrointestinal side effects and, less commonly, serious side effects, so it's important to follow your provider's instructions and seek urgent medical care when appropriate.

Unfortunately, Lemonaid Health Weight Loss is not yet available in all 50 states; however, we’re working to expand our offering as soon as possible.

The cost of your medication will depend on the membership term and the prescribed medication. Monthly membership terms are $49/month.

For compounded tirzepatide: Monthly $299 (billed separately); 3-month plan $249/mo; 6-month plan $229/mo.

For compounded tirzepatide microdoses: Monthly $199 (billed separately).

For compounded semaglutide: Monthly $299 (billed separately); 3-month plan $249/mo.

For compounded semaglutide microdoses: Monthly $199 (billed separately).

Other medications, such as Metformin ($90/3 months), Ozempic® ($1,199/month) and Wegovy® ($1,599/month), are also billed separately and are not included in the membership plans.

Zepbound single-dose vials are offered via LillyDirect and are available as a cash pay-only offering starting at $299/mo for the 2.5 mg dose and $449 for higher dosages. LillyDirect has the ability to change the price. Unlike our other weight loss medication options we offer, Zepbound single-dose vials are delivered, charged, and managed separately via LillyDirect.

Your HSA or FSA may be able to help cover certain fitness related expenses when they are medically necessary to treat a health condition.

When you sign up for Lemonaid's weight loss membership, if eligible, a letter of medical necessity is included in your membership annually.
